Iowa County is located in Southwest Wisconsin and is part of the WAHCE Southwest District. There are six clubs with a total membership of 48.

The Iowa County Association for Home and Community Education in a non-profit, educational and charitable organization that involves members in identifying and problem solving individual, family and community issues.
Iowa County HCE provides scholarships to young people to broaden their education. Applicants must be an Iowa County resident studying for a four- or two-year degree in a field related to family or community life. Contact Debra Ivy for more information.

2026 Project Lessons- Opportunities for Growth and Development
- February – The Little Heart Project started with the intent of spreading hope & love. Hearts are left in public places for others to find. It’s a random act of kindness. Beyond that we’re trying to reduce the stigma around mental illness and hopefully prevent suicides…. one heart at a time. This lesson will be delivered to a club meeting and/or mailed.
- March – Green Companions: Exploring the World of Houseplants Join Marsha Wyatt at Aspen Ridge in Mineral Point to learn everything you need to know to grow and care for houseplants. We will talk about supplies, plants, and how to get started as well as the best plants for beginners and challenging and unique plants. There will also be a hands-on activity for each person to start their own new plant.
- April 9 –SPRING COUNCIL-Let’s have a HOOTENANY! Join the fun for this interactive folk music sing-along/play along. You can add music with instruments, too, and learn about composers and your favorite songs.
- September 2 – Our History of Toys—Remember and share as we discuss, look at and compare toys from the past and present, as well as toys from both then and now. Bring a memory or a toy from your past to share with the group.
- October 8—Christmas Ornaments-Bob Brenner Bob will presenthow Americans have decorated their Christmas trees over the years including an exploration and demonstration of the various kinds of Christmas ornaments from the 19th and 20th centuries through our present time.
